Botox — Hyperhidrosis Treatment

BOTOX® is FDA-approved for the treatment of severe hyperhidrosis (underarm sweating) that is not adequately managed with topical agents. BOTOX® treatment helps control this condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands don’t receive chemical signals, the severe sweating stops.

Through over fifteen years of use, the most commonly reported side-effect is slight tenderness at the injection site. Botox® takes just minutes to inject and its’ effects usually last for six months or longer. There’s no recovery period required following Botox® injections; patients can resume their normal activities immediately.
