Botox — Facial Wrinkles

Botox® injections can smooth moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles, by temporarily relaxing the muscles that create the wrinkles.

Areas treated can include: crow’s feet, glabella furrows (between the brows), and forehead creases (frontalis muscle). Sometimes headaches that are caused by frequent frowning may be relieved following Botox® injections.

Botox® is a safe, non-surgical wrinkle treatment which takes only a few minutes.  Results will be noticed within 4-7 days after injection and last 3-4 months.

Individuals with any disease that affects your muscles and nerves (such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis [ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease], myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome) should not have Botox® injections.

The most common sides effects include pain and redness at the injection site and muscle weakness.  Less common side effects include flu-like syndrome, temporary eyelid droop, and nausea.
